Cooler Master NR200P: Toaster V1

This was my first pandemic build when parts were still very sparse. I was coming from a Lian Li O11-D which had previously been running a custom water loop. While I loved that build, I was back in NYC with much less space and wanted to move back to an ITX build. Also, being tired of maintaining a loop, I went fully aircooled.

The build:

  • Cooler Master MasterBox NR200
  • Asus x570-I Gaming Mini-ITX Mobo
  • AMD 5900X
  • Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler
  • Nvidia 3090 Founders Edition (tight fit! -- common ITX theme)
  • G.Skill 32GB 2x16 D4 3600 TRZ RGB RAM
  • Cooler Master V850 SFX PSU (might not be in all the pics as these were just launching and back ordered)
  • Toast drawing by Misky

I tried a few CPU coolers before settling on the Noctua including the stock AMD Wraith RGB cooler and a Sycthe log profile cooler. In the end the Noctua JUST fit with the glass touching the top pins on the cooler and the best performance.

Another failed product was the Corsair Dominator RGB RAM. It had the look I wanted but I received multiple sticks with failing RBGs. Sometimes they colors would not match or a few LEDs would go out. In the end, G.Skill seemed to work best both with AMD's new CPU and the various lighting software needed.

This was a really fun build and I still love build in this case.
